Documentation

Through survey inventory, scholarship, and architectural discourse, ºÚÁϳԹÏ/Georgia supports the documentation of Georgia’s Modern architecture, landscapes, and culture.

Documentation of Georgia’s existing Modern resources seeks to assist preservation efforts. ºÚÁϳԹÏ/Georgia maintains a statewide inventory of these resources, known as the GA Register. This growing register documents important districts, buildings, landscapes, interiors, and public art and supports nomination of resources to the national ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Register.

The chapter also maintains an online resource identifying important contributors to Georgia’s Modern heritage; a timeline identifying important dates; technical and historic resources; a bibliography; and photographic documentation of structures identified in the register.

Programs

ºÚÁϳԹÏ/Georgia contributes to the education and increased public awareness regarding the significance of the Modern Movement and its prominent buildings, landscapes, and urban design.

Advocacy

ºÚÁϳԹÏ/Georgia advocates the conservation of Modern buildings throughout the state.
